Leather Conference Chair Terminology
Within this category there's a variety of leather terminology used:
Leather chair refers to the leather covering of the chair seat and both front and outer back of the chair back rest.
Leather faced chair refers to the chair seat and front of chair back rest being covered in leather with the outer back rest covered in a vinyl material to form an exact match. This is the mode of manufacture for the majority of chairs supplied in the office furniture market place.
Bonded leather chair is essentially a man-made material using shredded offcuts of genuine leather, mixing it with latex and pressing it to create a roll of bonded leather. It is more cost effective and more environmentally friendly than using genuine leather hides.
Faux leather chair looks like leather but is actually made from a synthetic fabric such as vinyl.
