Working From Home

Working from home would be a dream for many people as it conjures images of flexible hours, holidays, income and tax advantages, not to mention no more commuting.

Writing is often the first thought for people considering working from home, perhaps writing or editing and proofreading other people’s work.

To work from home it is important to be comfortable with where you are working from, so it is important to buy proper office furniture and the necessary equipment for your work.

The bare minimum you will probably need is a computer or laptop, internet connection, office furniture, a printer and some stationery.  You may already have the basics but otherwise you will have an initial outlay to set up.

Be sure to make sufficient space for the home office and to incorporate an office desk and a comfortable office chair to allow you to sit and work comfortable.

To work from home, some people seek out additional qualifications but good customer service and sales skills are just as important.  Consider how you will receive payment, whether that is into a paypal account or into a separate bank account, but be sure to keep proper records and all your receipts and invoices organized.
